Fixed issue: This app does not send notification

Just recently I saw a Reddit user’s post about Android 14 notifications not working after a factory reset. And while he did try a few other ways such as doing a fresh install, manually turning on the notifications, and reinstalling the apps — the Android 14 notifications not working, and the Samsung issue exists.

Honestly, notifications not showing up or Android 14 notifications not working isn’t anything new. Things are supposed to get wrong in the newer versions of an operating system. Surprisingly, many users aren’t aware of the complexities that may arise in such cases.

Don’t worry we solved this issue need some settings on your phone. Please check below.

Methods 2: Check Do Not Disturb Mode not activated

  1. Tap on the “Settings” menu on your phone and scroll down to “Notifications”. Please check their show Status: Do not disturb

2. Next check if the general notifications option is turned on for all apps. If yes, then you may check each individual app as well to ensure that notifications aren’t turned off by any specific app itself. If no, then turn it on first and then check the individual app notification setting.

3. Select All Apps from the list and find the app you want to turn off battery optimization. Tap on the app name, select Apps not optimized, and check if it’s working or not.

Methods 2: Restart Your Device

As discussed above, sometimes there is a temporary error or glitch which is causing issues like notifications not working on Android 14. Hence, a quick reboot or restarting your device will in most cases solve the problem. So, try restarting your device to see if it solves the notifications not showing up issue.

Method 3: Turn Off Battery Optimization Settings

Battery optimization helps conserve your battery power and extend its life. But it also hinders your phone’s normal functionality. This includes disabling notifications completely for all or for a few specific apps either temporarily or permanently.

Hence, do the following to see if battery optimisation isn’t causing the Android 14 notifications not to work.

Method 4: Disable Power Saver Mode and Data Saver Mode

Power saver mode and data saver mode if active will each interfere with the notification function of your phone. Power saver mode helps save power and extend battery life by stopping apps and other phone functions to continue running in the background.

Similarly, an active data saver mode will restrict apps running in the background from using data. Consequently, no data use means no notification updates to show as well.

Method 5: Disable Do Not Disturb Mode

Another reason why you might be facing the Android 14 notifications not working issue is because you might have unknowingly enabled the “Airplane” or “Do Not Disturb (DND)” mode.

Both modes can be enabled or disabled either from the settings menu or the drop-down menu on your phone.

Method 6 :To Disable Data Saver mode

Launch the Settings app on your Android phone. Navigate to Connections.

Step 2: Click on Data Usage settings > Data saver.

Step 3: Finally, turn off the Data saver.

Method 7: Enabled Background Data

If the notification issue persists, you can enable background data to allow certain apps to continue to run and update even when you’re not using them. This can be helpful if you want your apps to be up-to-date with the latest information without having to update them yourself manually.

Step 1: Open Settings, then select Connections and tap on Data usage.

Step 2: From the Mobile section, tap Mobile data usage.

Step 3: Find and select the application.

Step 4: Turn on “Background data.”
